Some people argue that the rapid spread of rapeseed is a major hindrance to the increasingly high number of hay fever sufferers, but whilst what it may do to some people’s sinuses is still open to question, what isn’t is the colourful contrast it offers to the concrete and cables of the capital.

Very nice capture! … loves the tone and colors too.
Although, one thing that’s disturbing, I think I see high-voltage cables in the distance.
Anyway … loves it! 😀
Lee says
Thanks!
Yeah, they are cables overhead. There are so many of them it’s not easy to get a picture without them…

Darn rapeseed, forever the bane of my summer U.K life…

I suffer from hay fever over 20 years. I’m so happy to be in Taiwan now, because the climate here doesn’t cause me any allergic reactions. At home in Europe I’m sneezing like crazy. I was in Korea two weeks ago and surprisingly, I had no allergic reactions, too, even though the cherries were in full blossom. I wonder, if I’d have any problems in Japan. I always loved the colors of spring, but I had to spend my time inside the house 🙁

Back home in the U.K I used to suffer terribly with hay fever, but when I moved to Japan I had no problems at all. Over the last few years I’ve unfortunately developed one or two allergic reactions at certain times of the year, but it’s still nothing like the problems I had back home.

ah-choo!
It’s allergy time :/
Brett says
No allergies here, but let me stress as a man living in China that there are worse tings to inhale than a few bits of pollen!
Brett says
Oh, and great shot by the way
Lee says
Thanks Brett!

Beautiful, please remove your hat. 😀

Yeah this is fantastic. Great pic.
It always surprises me when I am stumbling around Tokyo drooling and mumbling and then BLAM, some little bit of exquisite nature surviving amongst all this people pollution.
Lee says
Cheers Eric! Yeah, it’s always a nice surprise, isn’t it? And all the more beautiful when you don’t expect it.
