It may well be only mad dogs and Englishmen that go out in the midday sun, but regardless of how deranged this dog’s mind might be, it still had the comfort of some cooling water, which the camera-carrying Englishman could only covet.
I love this photo. Her smile is completely genuine and beautiful at that. She’s obviously cares about fashion and how others see her and without a doubt, she makes wonderful first impressions on people she meets. Also having the dog in the photo the way it is, it kind of looks like it has the same personality as she does. Far this is my favorite photo of yours. The reason for that is you don’t often see complete and utter joy to the extent as it is in this photo all too often. I’m no photographer but i’d love to have been able to say I took this wonderful picture.
Good job and keep the wonderful shots coming : )
For the record, you’re my favortite photographer. You not only focus on all aspects of what to take pictures of but you do it brilliantly.
There are many great photagraphers but when they get great feedback on certain types of photos, they quit the other types for the most part because they lost their real passion for the art of photography by JUST wanting to please the audience and aquire fame as a result. I just like how you haven’t turned out like them because that would be tragic for not us but you. Remember this…It’s hard to please others when you can’t please yourself : )
Wow, thanks a lot Andy. That’s very high praise indeed, and very kind of you to say so.
Got to be honest, I really like this picture myself. The lighting was great so I was hanging around hoping to see someone to photograph, and then there they both were. Just glad I managed to get it. And do the moment some sort of justice.
I don’t always have my camera with me, but on days out I always take it, and I also do a lot of cycling and walking, both of which allow me to see a variety of places, and at the same time the chance for photographs. Some days I go out more for the exercise, other times (well, the majority of times) with the main focus on photography, but either way, my camera and lenses will be with me. And I’m always, obsessively so most of the time, looking around for someone or something of interest.

I always wondered how do you manage to get such beautiful pictures, not just the quality of but the moments/scenes you capture.
Do you walk around with your camera always ready to take a picture? Or you’re just lucky like that?
Either way, just beautiful…

Thanks!
