Wow! There are so many little items to look at here:) is this an electronic store of some sorts? Btw have you taken a picture of this shop before? Or was it another equally small place?
Amazing. How does she turn a profit on what must be very low margin items?
I had a look online for the earplugs she has at 2000 Yen. On the japanese amazon the same piece is over 4000.
Is it Akihabara? I had a wander around a market of similar stores there a couple of years back, before my wife started to associate the name Akihabara with maids and electronics ๐
That’s a very good question. My only guess would be very low rent. Plus a pension as well. But that said, in regards the former at least, it is in Akihabara, so hard to imagine it being cheap at all.
Ah yes, the maid cafes. Still see a good few of them out and about trying to drum up business, but from the outside at least, it would seem that the peak has long since past.

I know eh? Amazing what she has managed to fit in such a tiny space. And yeah, all electronics related.
Not this shop, but one of a very similar size. In the same area too. Clearly a thing! Here it is: http://bit.ly/2E31407

Such a cool shot. Itโs so funny! ๐ how does she get in?
Lee says
Cheers. Yeah, there’s definitely something rather comedic about it.
No idea to be honest. I’d like to thing she’s dropped in from above, but presumably there’s a suitably small door somewhere.
Ken says
I have seen places like this in Akihabara and the owners have entered via a trap door in the front of the counter.
Lee says
Ah, ok. That makes sense. Not as interesting as her being dropped into place, but definitely a lot more practical.

It is very yellow!
I’m intrigued by the purchase process and the blue bowl!
Lee says
It is, almost disturbingly so.
It must involve a very awkward stretch by both parties. Could be quite comedic to observe.
The blue bowl though is to put your money in. Very common, but not sure about the origins of it.
