I love scenes like these, both from the viewer and viewee perspectives. When travelling by train (or bus) I often catch the eye of people that are passed by, and when on a train platform, looking in on the illuminated miniworld reves the imagination up. There are a dozen stories right there, in the act of being lived.
There really are, and curiousity is piqued further I think by the fleeting nature of such connections. A brief interaction with someone who, in a city like Tokyo at least, you’ll very likely never ever see again.

Yeah, I suppose it is, although more often than not simply getting a seat is a treat in itself.
