Cute little canines in all kinds of clothing are now commonplace in Tokyo — so much so, in fact, that a dachshund wearing spectacles isn’t actually much of a spectacle anymore.
However, a pet pig out for a meander with its master, most definitely is.
A well-behaved, if rather wilful beast.
That, in its own way, was also rather cute.
Although a cuddle would probably be best tackled with extreme caution.

Tonkatsu teishouku on the hoof!

I do hope that’s not his fate, as he looked quite happy with his lot in life.

I can confirm from personal experience that pigs make for excellent pets: they’re smart, funny, clean and friendly

You just described me….so i guess she was right when she called me a pig.
Lee says
I read an article once by someone doing tests on pigs, and the man in charge claimed that if people knew just how smart pigs are, they might well think twice about eating them.

Looking all the pig photos, and all I can think of is: “Itadakimasu!”
kidding :D…
Lee says
That poor pig!
Lori says
Most people don’t even have dogs that big. Where would you have space for a pig that size?
Lee says
That’s a very good point Lori. Considering how well looked after he seems to be though, I’d say that wherever it is, it’s somewhere quite nice.

When I saw the pictures, my first impression is so cute and obedient!
Then i thought the master need a very big place to keep this pet.
He must be well taken care of because he is so well groomed and well behaved.
Lee says
Yeah, he certainly looks like he’s kept inside, so presumably the owner doesn’t live in an apartment!
thomasvye says
Aw, that’s a cute pig! He looks very happy to be out and about!
Lee says
He did look very happy. Really well-behaved too.
