People sleeping on trains is an everyday sight in Japan. Practically a whole carriage of comatose people, on the other hand, is somewhat less common.

Wow! You’re right that truly is a sight. Almost as if they were exposed to something making them pass out. I’m assuming they’re all in the same group? Long Halloween outing perhaps?:)
They do look to be a group – but why are they not talking to one another, or even looking at their phones. Whatever activity it was it must have totally wiped them out physically.
The not talking is all too often par for the course, but not using their phones most definitely isn’t. That said, maybe it was too much time spent on those phones that tired them out so much!

Quite unusual eh? And that’s exactly how I felt when I saw them. Like they’d all been simultaneously knocked out by something.
But yeah, I assume they were all together. They must have been. Before Halloween though, so an outing perhaps, but not of the ghostly variety!
