On a lovely sunny day, a few games of baseball with his father must have sounded like a lot of fun for this little fella. Yet the reality, of sorts, turned out to be far less appealing.
Both of them expression are interesting!
The little boy looks bored. “(Aside)NOT again, in the Arcade. I want the real stuff!!”
The Arcade is so noisy which is not good for the little ones to go. I do go occasionally to play the UFO catcher/Claw crane but still I cannot stand the bustling surrounding in Arcade
A big parenting fail there. Could have been worse. The kid could have been one of the countless over the years who have
died of dehydration/heat stroke locked in the car while mom played pachinko.
My first reaction was “At least the parent didn’t leave the kid in the car,” just like Jeffrey did Funny thing is, the dad is playing a baseball game, the set up of the machines makes me think it is a pachislo parlor, certainly not a place for little kids.
It’s one of the card games, so my guess is it wasn’t just a quick go. But it was just a regular arcade. No gambling machines. They were on another floor. Still far from an ideal for a little kid though…

Yeah, he didn’t look very happy at all…
I know. It wasn’t especially smoky, but like you say, it was very loud.

That seems so sad… I take my boys backpacking, or road hockey in the driveway, etc
Lee says
To be fair, they may have only been in there a short while, but clearly the little lad wasn’t happy.

Yes. Very true. Thankfully not read about one of those stories for a long while.
