One of the wonderful things about Tokyo is that you can never be completely sure what lies around the next corner, making it a city of regular surprises and new discoveries. With that in mind then, this is a series of corners taken over the last week or so. Fragments of the city that hint at potential new finds, as well as highlighting the sheer variety of structures and sights one can always find.

Me too!! π Amazing corner.

Likewise. If it’s anything like the exterior it’ll be absolutely fascinating.

Here you go. Rather famous house, actually. Architecturally speaking. π

Interesting. I was wondering if it was a Gehry design in miniature. Thanks for the link.

That house in #2 is amazing! And the mural of the tree is great. Love the contrast between the mundane, somewhat run down and the unusual!!
Lee says
Quite something, isn’t it?
Cheers. Tokyo has its faults, but it does not lack variety.
Richard says
Three cheers for its variety!!

I wonder how long it takes to get the Porsche parked like that…
Lee says
I know eh? If it was me, a long time. Thereβd likely be more than a few bumps and scrapes on it too.

An absorbing collection of photographs. The one that stands out in many ways is being brought back slowly into the fold courtesy of the vertical weathering streaks that have accumulated over it since it was built.
The tree house is wonderful, but perhaps the top of the cimney should have been painted sky blue π
