Although she may not have been smiling, wearing sunglasses or even boasting a hat, it’s distinctly possible that this woman may still have blown her chances of this photo being deemed acceptable as ID.

Did you stay around and see what she looked like? After all the pictures only take a short 18 seconds:)
To be honest, I have no idea. But the position of the woman certainly hints at the possibility. Not Kabukicho unfortunately, as that would have made the chances much more likely. It was Ueno.
I used to have so much trouble taking a photo of something of something in the street, expecting others around me to comment / complain etc .. I missed out on a lot of good pics. Another great picture!
Cheers! Took me a while to get over that too. Still hold back in some situations to be honest. But generally, if I feel there’s an interesting photo to be had, I’ll go for it. Then deal with any possible repercussions after.
I remember I was in Shinjuku last year when in front of me were two women wearing see-through dresses (by see-through I mean the “better off not wearing any dress whatsoever” kind) with G-strings and no bra underneath. They had a guy in tow.
Not sure what they were up to, but my guess is that they were heading somewhere to shoot one of those public exposure movies.
I have never thought I’d ever see something like that myself, especially after reading an article somewhere stating these kind of movies are all staged in a studio in a way most people believe it’s real. Apparently, there are some people filming the real deal after all.

No, unfortunately not. Got some from odd looks for taking that one shot, so I left.

I bet the guy in there with her was smiling.

My thought exactly. Cheaper than a love hotel (+ a souvenir photo).
Lee says
Indeed, although one suspects he wasn’t smiling for the camera!

“blown her chances”
heh 😉
Lee says
I was pleased with that one!

Love the 18 on the left sticker. Might be very misinterpreted if one can’t read Japanese.
Lee says
Yes, that was a very lucky little extra. Offers an nice extra bit of meaning. Or at least insinuation!
Coli says
Wait a second Lee. You’re saying there were two people in there? Sorry I was at a loss for what was dodgy in this picture. Kabukicho?
Lee says
I thought you perhaps hadn’t picked up on it.

Not everyone has Airprint and a wi-fi enabled printer handy!
Lee says
Haha, no they don’t!

Blimey, that must have been quite a sight. Sadly never seen anything quite like that. But one lives in hope!
