Not at all. They are mannequin heads used by hairdressers, although these were in a window for some reason. It wasn’t a salon window either. So why they were there I really don’t know, but they definitely made for a very interesting sight.
That must have caused a few people to freak out a bit, maybe someone with an odd sense of humour put them there, rather like an episode of Candid Camera.
I sure have seen the same kind of mannequin heads on the window of an apartment house on my way to walking course. At first I too was surprised and a little scary when it was dark.
oooooh freaky. I would do it just to freak people out. Something like, “why are you peeping in my house? Here, take the staring eyes, that’d teach ya!” π
You’re a photographer living in Japan…these two things already had you in my “awesome person” book. Now by your description of this photo, you’ve revealed yourself to be a Doctor Who fan, too. I think I have to love you now. π

Same here. I’ve seen this kind of thing quite a few times. Whether it’s simple storage or some kind of display though, I really don’t know.

Haha! Blink is my favourite episode, so it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the heads.
