Due to it boasting expensive brands and flagship stores, Ginza is obviously a popular destination for shoppers. But at the weekend, with its wide, pedestrianised main street, it’s also a place where many people simply go to be seen. A chance to get dressed up, turn on the style and hopefully attract a little attention. And when it comes to the latter, some people are clearly more accustomed to it than others.

Wow that guy…..looks a little too hot for the weather we are having in Japan. I’d like to give him so baby powder. This seems so close. How far away were you?
Lee says
I know. Hardly ideal clothing for hot and humid weather, is it? Doesn’t even bear thinking how sticky it must be…
I was pretty close. I use a 35mm lens, so can’t be too shy!
Al says
Ha, that’s so random. Love it! What was she (he?! 😮 ) doing?
Lee says
He had a bicycle with a camera and tripod, and he (definitely a he) seemed to be looking for a spot to take some photographs of himself.

Well, that’s sure an eye catching look. Any idea what character he is playing? There is just a hint of Hoon Lee’s Job (http://tinyurl.com/z6v5owv) in the attitude there.
I wonder what a side shot of you crouching/kneeling infront of the guy would have looked like 🙂
Lee says
No idea I’m afraid. My knowledge about such things is limited to say the least. But the moment I asked to take a photo, he struck that pose, so definitely seemed significant.
Haha, goodness knows what the picture of me shooting him would have looked like. Ludicrous I guess!
Mauro says
Has to be one of the best photos I’ve seen here. Amazing shot.
Lee says
Thank you! With such an interesting and accommodating subject, is was remarkably easy. Wish that was always the case!
Mauro says
Hehe. Did he pose for the photo or you just caught that facial expression? I can’t really tell.
Lee says
He posed. I don’t usually ask, but in this case it seemed liked a much better option. Thankfully it turned out that way too.
