You manage to make an opportunistic capture seem like a staged publicity shot.
Back in the 80’s I lived and worked in Basingstoke for a while, and being more or less built from scratch the town centre was owned by one company. At the time they employed unofficial security guys to pressure “undesirables” (i.e. anyone not looking like they had money to spend) into moving on, whether they were pensioners sitting and chatting or young folk just hanging out. That’s what partially sprang to mind when seeing this photograph. Though it has to be said, these Ginza Guys look far more affable than the Basingstoke Bouncers ever did.
