On behalf of your friends in America, our hearts and prayers go out to everyone affected in Japan. (On a practical note, our wallets will be ready to help too since we cannot be there.) God speed to everyone who needs it.
Most worried at the great loss of life and the devastating destruction caused by the develish Tsunami’s onslaught. May God Almighty mitigates and minimise the impact of 3 Ds, (destruction, death & devastation) to Japan and its people. Hope and pray all Pakistanis are in safe and secured position with the blessings of God.
Many many hearty condolences and prayers for my poor Japanese friends from India. I remember the moment when these ghost waves hit my place Kerala, south end state of India erupting from Indonesia in 2006.
Dont worry our Indian crew has already offered help to Japan for all support and relief operations. We are one and have only one mind whenever disasters happen to any part ofearth.
Out of 25000 Indians in Japan, i know many people from here who are either studying or working in Tokyo. Many Japanese tourists were here recently. I am seeing only Japanese news here in media’s after earthquake.
Hope every one is safe and sound. Prayers to God for no more nature plays. But take care…
Our PM has offered all aid, help and assistance to Japan.
A Japanese lady professor named Takaku who also speaks “malayalam” language of our place Kerala, southend state of India yesterday came in our local news TV channel to describe about this earthquake and her relatives and friends in Japan. She said she couldnt contact anyone and noone is taking any call there in Japan. Her home is in Sendai or Miyagi.
phew. i ran to check your blog, plus few more japanese ones i love, as soon as i heard. good finding out that all of my favs are safe and sound. not so good, in general…:(
Saty safe. Please advise where is best Japanese source for sending relief funds. Here they direct us to American Red Cross but afraid that funds will get diverted/diluted.
Glad to hear you`re safe, Lee. We landed at Narita about 45 minutes before the quake hit. The shaking was pretty serious, but like you`ve said lucky we`re in Tokyo. The media in the UK is reporting many leaving because of fears of the nuclear situation. We have no plans to leave right now though. Hope you stay fine.
What are your thoughts on the HARP topic? I think it’s crap. People love to mystify the things and can’t accept natural causes…for me, the main cause of this problem is…wait for it…The Mother Nature.
Sure, the HARP video looks legit, but it’s not proving anything…
japans ability to cope with and respond too major disasters with speed and dignity are lessons for us all,as someone who has been through several earthquakes i wish i could say i reacted as well as the individuals i have seen on the news.you have my best wishs.
Our thoughts are with Japan and all the surrounding areas devasted by the recent event. Let’s hope they get the nuclear reactor under control, the citizens of Japan do deserve better!
The Japanese people has been more then outstanding in this crisis, like John said, their dignity and the lack of riots, and mayhem is a very positive feeling to get from a people that have this much devastation occur. I have many friends near Tokyo so I was glad there wasn’t a lot of damage there, but it was still difficult trying to focus at work while thinking about them. Working at DISH Network I could see what was happening on all the tv’s but there was a lack of sound, which does make for some difficulty. So I used my sling adapter to stream to my HTC so I could keep up on the latest news in Japan, it didn’t take all the wandering thoughts away but it did help keep a little bit of focus.

Cheers Matt. Glad you are ok too. And whilst it’s a worry, I think leaving ‘cos of the nuclear situation at this stage is a bit of an overreaction.
