Quite brilliant.
The atmosphere in the final photograph is filmic. Kind of invokes an Alice in Borderland vibe.
The architecture, textures and detail in the city shot are incredible. The blue building in the foreground is very special. Almost a Kowloon Walled City candidate.
I hope you find more such vantage points
Thanks a lot. Not the kind of environment I’m used to shooting in, but thoroughly enjoyed it and happy with the results. Would definitely like to find more. Agree about the colours too. Really nice, and even better there was very little I had to do with the results. Pretty much how they came out of the camera.
These narrow streets in Tokyo where people actually live, and sometimes work, have always fascinated me. Isn’t it amazing how such a humongous city is made up of thousands of such places, each of which is unique?!?
Brings back memories of where and how I lived there….many years ago now!
Lovely photos. I do like the wonder they inspire about the lives of those people.
I’m also a bit puzzled by the grey box in the upper right side of the photo. Looks like the top of a huge building but floating on a black netting. What is that?
Cheers. Yeah, it was interesting to see the city from up there. Both inspiring and somehow sobering at the same time.
Afraid I have no idea as they were my thoughts as well. It just seems so completely out of place and in no way matches the building it’s somehow connected to. In fact it almost looks like it’s squatting there — in more ways than one…

These are so cool. I can’t get enough of the details in the first pic and the people on the others give a totally different view. Awesome work! 🙂

Thanks a lot. That’s very good to hear. Not my usual thing but I’m happy with the results.

Thank you. The colours were really nice. Wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but once up there it was all we could have hoped for.

Yes, it really is. So much going on, and so much it’s possible to miss and never even know about.
You are very welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed finding the spot and taking in the view.
