Well, old style udon, soba and ramen. All of which — somewhat unusually perhaps — are served up daily on the grounds of a shrine. And not just any old shrine either, but the famous, or indeed infamous, Yasukuni Shrine.
Haha, quite possibly, although the feeling was mutual. I thought he’d work well in the frame, but he spent an absolute age with his back to me talking to the staff. Finally though he did turn round, which for him meant the presumably unexpected sight of a foreign fella and a camera.
