Itβs always impossible to know what lies beyond before you slide open the door of a little old Tokyo bar, but when they look as intriguing as this on the outside, you can be pretty sure things will be even more interesting on the inside.
And this place proved that point perfectly, as it turned out to be a truly wonderful spot to drink, think and be looked after by the lovely owners.

Beautiful pictures Lee. This establishment really does look wonderful. Second picture is great π
Lee says
Thanks a lot Coli. It really was a great place. The only bad thing was it was very hard to leave…
The second one is by far my favourite too. Tried a couple of shots in the mirror, and luckily that once came out just like I wanted.

Very nice. Each picture has it’s own. I like the anticipation / (scary movie) feel of the first one, the second picture has the look of people relaxing after a hard day’s work and the third is obvious

Thank you. Very good to hear. That’s everything I hoped to achieve, so really encouraging.

Very cool! You find the best bars. I always want to drink in them! π
Lee says
Cheers. It’s a tough job but somebody has got to do it!
This place really was a bit special though. Definitely one to return to.

So very nice… and this Barbapapa pen holder! Glad to see that Barbapapa is still active..!
Lee says
It really was. A genuinely lovely place to spend a good few hours. And yes, the unexpected Barbapapa pen holder only added to the evening!

Wonderful find equally wondefully recorded.
Do people step over the cracks on the approach – or are there really so few as to allow the vegetation to thrive like that.
Looks like you were there on Hide-and-Seek night. The guy with his hands over his face is counting. The bar owner has ducked down behind the counter and the bespectacled guy is just checking whether he is still visible π
Lee says
Thank you very much.
Good question. They must do I suppose, as there were customers coming and going all evening. It’s open for lunch too, and as the food was good, I expect there’ll be a steady stream of visitors then as well.
Haha, I like the hide and seek idea!
