Crossing the border from Tokyo to one of its neighbouring prefectures is almost always a non-event. The urban sprawl simply continues, with barely any perceptible scenery changes whatsoever. Travel a little further, however, and there can be some subtle differences, so with that in mind, this is what I saw on a recent walk south of the capital.

The speckled road surface looked different and the aloah shirts and other brighter casual wear on display too. But My eye isn’t keen or experienced enough to see many differences on first glance.
Gotta love the Muttley apron. I wonder how that design came to be there.

Not a huge difference it has to be said. Also it’s likely more down to how it felt rather than looked. But yeah, the surprise appearance of Muttley was a lovely little extra.
