The bright lights and busy streets of Tokyo’s well known entertainment hubs are similarly well known and documented. In fact I posted a small series of photos from Shinjuku’s red light district and its environs just the other week.
Head a bit further west into the city’s more suburban areas, however, and the scenery isn’t all that different, it’s simply much calmer, and nowhere near as in your face. A factor that in many ways isn’t a bad thing. Far from it in fact. So here then are photos from several hours of simply wandering a little over a week ago.

These are very cool. Awesome colors. I’d love sit down with a beer in the first street. 🙂

Thanks a lot. Yeah, that street is always worth a visit.

A marvelously lit collection of a very atmospheric location I remember well from when you took us there on a previous visit. Here is my poor daytime version of the fourth photograph.

Just one example of many excellent memories you have made possible for Mrs cdilla and I through your knowledge, expertise and photowalk services, and now again through your postings here.
Nice to see some of his collection of countertop chickens are still there 🙂

Thanks a lot. Ah, nice to see that daytime one, and not poor at all.
That’s very kind, and it has always been a real pleasure showing you both round. The very best kind of work.

Calmer and cleaner! Thanks
Lee says
Yes, and most definitely much cleaner!
