Most of my posts these days are small sets or series. They are generally a good way of trying to tell stories, as well as putting together connected themes or scenes. The latter in particular come about over time. Not really planned, but regularly photographing what genuinely appeals invariably results in photos that compliment each other.
That said, it doesn’t always work out that way, and these are some recent images taken when out on photowalks with clients, friends or long meanders alone. Urban encounters that for now at least don’t really fit with any others, so here they are as a simple document of urban Tokyo in spring.

I love everything about the 2nd photo! 🙂

Thanks a lot. Taken a lot of photos there over the years, and none really worked, until this one.

wonderful set. love the second and third and the man smiling at his flowers especially, and really want to sit down on the curb and have a chat with that lady in the fifth one.
Lee says
Thank you. Two and three were lovely moments, and I did actually get to have a chat with the woman in the fifth. It was right by Tokyo’s old execution ground, and she was keen to let me know about it.

I’m pretty sure I remember that corner where the old lady is sat. We’d just come down the stairs from the station and saw you walking up from that direction. Wonderful tour that was 🙂
If you look on Street View Aug 2022 It looks like the same lady is sat in the same spot.
Lee says
Yeah, that’s the spot. And thank you. Was great to be able to show you both such a variety of things and places.
I’ve seen and spoken to her round there several times, so very likely it is.

I thought that the blue ‘rabbit eared’ bunny hopping fella in #1 might be a spring reference (nice blues and reds).
What dress sense abounds too!
Lee says
Haha, not quite that sort of spring reference. I did like his perched appearance though. And yes, those colours were lovely.
