Thank you. The colours really were lovely in the sun, so it was just a matter of waiting for the right person to walk past in the right spot. Had a couple of near misses, then fortunately I got this.
Such a brilliant photograph, in more than one sense of the word.
I see her dressed in gold almost like a queen of old, and it’s as if she is shooting colours all around the corner.
And like a sunset going down I’ve never seen a lady fairer (except my lovely wife of course).

Thanks a lot. I’d made this the main purpose of my day. A long walk to this spot in the hope I could hang around for a bit and get what I wanted. This isn’t quite what I had in mind, but it actually turned out to be a better result, so very pleasing.
That’s a nice reworking of the lyrics. Perhaps unusually, my awareness of the song wasn’t due to the original, but a Word of Twist cover. A version I have a real soft spot for because of the album it’s on.
Ah, Word of Twist – one of those bands who really should have made it big. From Sheffield wern’t they, or maybe it was Manchester. So long ago.
Covers definitely do play their part – whilst the original Satisfaction is a AAA song my favourite is the Devo version (https://youtu.be/jadvt7CbH1o)
Oops, didn’t notice the typo. World of Twist! Both I think. The original incarnation from Sheffield, then the revamped line up that, as you said, really should have made it big, were more Manchester based as I seem to recall. The Sons Of The Stage 12″ extended version should have been enough on its own to cement their reputation. Played it once here in a little club and it was wonderfully well received. It was even better when people asked who it was and I showed them the picture disc (https://bit.ly/3ehQ14a). Happy memories.
Oh, never heard that before. Do like it when cover versions completely reinvent the original.
That’s a question I’ve pondered as well, but as it’s been like that for a good while now, I presume it must be finished. Or at least as finished as it’s ever going to be!
Thank you. Yes, I was struck by that. The stride. The fact that it’s just about to touch the ground. A moment that hints at something, but what that something is I’m really not sure.

Good timing!
Is someone actively working on that mural? It looks incomplete but maybe I am wrong.

Thanks!

Wow. As with other comments, talk about photographic serendipity!

I know eh? Wonderful when things work out like that. Only had to wait about 10 minutes as well.

Great photo work. Just before touching the ground, the right shoe might evoke feelings.
