I absolutely love this image. I often look like that when I’m trying to remember how to get somewhere or everything I need to pick up when I get there.
My father in law does make these rather violent gestures while walking around the house, exercises he calls them 🙂
I suggested that if he walked more and sat less in front of the TV, he had fewer problems with his back and his circulation; didn’t go down too well 🙂
Amazes me how much television is watched in Japan. From experience of being in Japanese homes, but also walking the streets when it’s warm, as almost always the sound coming from a house is the TV…
And is it me, or is there so little content? The problem starts with teasers of what’s to come, after a short while there is a cut to commercial, when the program comes back, it summarizes what happened before the CM, then some more teasers of what’s to come, then a little content, then another CM, then back to what happened before the 1 CM and then back to what happened before the 2nd CM, then a teaser, then a fraction of new content, then another CM,, Aarrgh! it is driving me crazy, give me the BBC any time! It takes an hour to show 15 minutes of real content. 🙂

Was he angry with you?
Lee says
Thankfully, no. He actually laughed after I’d taken the photo. But what on earth he was doing I don’t know…
Ken says
Maybe it was Tai-chi?
Lee says
Possibly, but I’ve always assumed Tai-chi was done is one spot, whereas he was walking up the street doing it. Perhaps a new form that he’s invented!

Thanks!
Yes, I know that feeling all too well, so I probably have the same look on a regular basis too.

I like that the vending machine over his right shoulder has the word “BOSS”. He’s certainly working it like a boss! Great picture!
Lee says
Cheers!
Yes, bossing the streets of Tokyo!

Haha, I can well imagine it didn’t!

That’s exactly my thoughts. A minimal amount of content dragged out over hours. A whole day or so when it comes to the New Year.
Yes. Being brought up with the BBC I was spoilt. Still am. And long may that continue!
