Cheers! Originally they must have been very bright and colourful. Ideally she’d have been looking at the camera, but otherwise pleased with the result.
What a bright and cheerful photograph. It may look like a rather grubby lego tableau, but against the blue sky and bright sunshine it looks great.
What are those speckled squat cylinders? Paint pots? A sort of diy gazebo sprucing initiative perhaps.
It’s nice to see curves designed into features like this, even with rough building materials employed. In europe I suspect bauhausian dictats would have held sway.
Were there any children around? Or had you shooed them all out of shot to enbleaken the scene π
Yeah, despite the peeling and weather damage, it’s still nice and bright, isn’t it? Those curves are rare here as well. Never seen anything quite like it anywhere else.
Haha, I like the idea of enbleakening a scene. Didn’t have to though. Not a child to be seen. The only other people in the park where are a couple of fellas sat on a bench to my right. That may not surprise you, but those little cylinders probably will. They are ashtrays. No older park in Japan is complete without numerous ashtrays dotted about the place…

Iβm not so sure about beautiful but they are kinda cool. I really like the colors. Great framing as always too. Perfect! π

Good call. I suppose it is very subjective…

There’s something decidedly non-Japanese (un-Japanese?) about this design. Can’t quite put my finger on it…
Lee says
Yes, I think I know what you mean…

Is the writing on the posts graffiti?
Lee says
Yeah, it is. A lot more of it about these days, espcecially so in more central areas. This is unusual though as most of the time itβs in English.
