The sun and light in Tokyo is very noticeably getting hotter, higher and harsher, but for now at least the humidity hasn’t made its dreaded arrival, so long meanders are still manageable without too much trouble.
These photos then are from one such roam in north Tokyo. A walk without any real agenda apart from seeing what appealed, and the flower covered building in particular most definitely did.

Loved the contrast between the old and the new in the second to last photo. Even after many years of travel to Tokyo that always fascinates me.
Enjoy the relatively low humidity while you can! I was just there in late April/early May. It was great to walk around in relative comfort! And there were azaleas blooming everywhere.

it’s really quite something, isn’t? The new and old all crammed in together.
Thanks a lot. Definitely the last bit of fresher weather before rainy season hits. Not at all looking forward to what’s just round the corner, but nothing to be done but deal with it.

What is going on with that snack shop with all the handwritten notes outside?
