I too love these old shopping arcades that have so much history and most likely so many stories as well. I would love to see these places in their prime days. That’s amazing that things in that store are marked up to 90% off 🤩 the matching yellow of the cones(?) in the store front and her coat really tie this photograph together!
I know eh? Back in the day they must have been incredible. No doubt very busy too.
Cheap and a bit of everything. Forgot your tie? No problem. Something for the weekend? No worries either, as there is also an adult DVD section on the other side!
Cheers. I waited a good while for the right person or people to walk by, and the colour of her coat and the fact neither had smart phones in their hand were something along the lines ofwhat I was after.
Declining population due to a low birth rate and the ability to shop online so easily nowadays has led to the demise of so many of these small mom and pop stores. It is sad, of course. But it is probably going to continue.
Yeah, amazing it has survived this long really, although while I was waiting for people to pass and photograph, he did sell a DVD to a young woman, so there is hope.
