With everything that phones now offer, especially those of the smarter variety, it’s increasingly difficult not to constantly check, let alone use them; the likes of the internet and social media offering a whole other world to immerse oneself in — a call that countless millions, myself included, simply can’t resist.
And yet despite the incredibly common sight of seeing someone miles away on their mobile, this man’s obvious concentration, and his complete and utter obliviousness to the world going on around him, is absolutely fascinating. Although clearly nowhere near as fascinating as whatever it is that’s on his phone.

Haha… really love to see the expression on his face.
I hope he wasn’t reading a bad news.
Lee says
Yeah, pretty intense stare, isn’t it?

Hi,
His expression is super serious!
Either he concentrating playing his handphone’s game or reading A Happening Big News.
Is he just at the roadside, it is so dangerous.
Lee says
The road wasn’t so busy, plus he was tucked in at the side of it, so perfectly safe.
James says
I think he might be watching the Royal Wedding.
Lee says
I can happily say that’s one thing he wasn’t watching, as I took the photo a few weeks ago!

Soon, when babies are born, they’ll have a phone automatcially attached to their ear, and from that day forth they will never stop attending to it.
Phones have their uses but people are too obsessed with them.
(Amazing photo though)
Lee says
Thanks Thomas. Riding on trains in particular, it’s always interesting to see huge numbers of people utterly engrossed in their phones. When I’m not too utterly engrossed in my own to notice of course…

It’s very funny today I noticed that a lot of people is adquiring an iphone and some people even the one with a regular cellphone have the same looks, the look like… zombies, hahahahaha. And as a curious note, all of them have a soda or something, the look like the army of people with and iphone and a soda… the zombie army, hahahaha. Nice picture, It really depicts how people looks; now I can say it with confidence, in the whole world.

I found your site while doing some research on japanese love dolls through google images. I am completely in love with it! Your images are so vivid. The lady in the kimono in the airport is adorable and this dude, he needs to be captioned. I love how intensely focused he is. He just learned something super serious on his cell phone.
Lee says
Thanks Kate! Glad you like the photos. The old lady in the kimono is a favourite of mine.
