The winter, as well as early spring light is lovely in Tokyo, and so the spot below became a place to regularly walk past or wait at for a little while. A location that allowed me to photograph a slightly concerned looking salaryman, the rather more retro look of a young fella in shades, and with a dash of colour for a change, the intriguing expression of the gentleman below.

What a cool shot! You could do an entire series on this location with each unique character:) he definitely stands out with the stripes doesn’t he ? Almost 3D.

Thank you! And yeah, he really did stand out. Very happy that I managed to get him in a reasonably good position.
It is a genuinely great spot when the sun is out. Sadly will have to wait til next year now to add to the collection. The light has changed, but even if it hadn’t I wouldn’t be there anyway. Only local walks these days. Not very interesting, but has to be done.

Awesome work! I love that it’s color but so few colors! 😉

Thank you! Haha, yes, a rather minimalist use of colour!

Congrats! You found Waldo! He’s lost his hat and spent the last 30 years waiting for you to find him (hair’s gone white) so he totally forgot about the game… but now you have!

Ah, just wonderful. The more I think about it, the more I like it. And the the more I think about it, the more possibilities there are. Almost like a modern day, popular culture variant of Waiting For Godot.

A gem!
He’d look the part as a stand in drummer for the RoVing Stones if he could keep the beat.

Cheers! Haha, he would, wouldn’t he? Just grow his hair a little bit longer and he’d be sorted.
