Thank you. With the unusual light, and the lines, it was simply a matter of setting it up and waiting for the right person to walk past. Wasn’t sure who that would be, until the woman with the umbrella walked past.
Once again your striking photographs are the source of learning.
I was thinking what a strange thing that the colour blue should help defeat the mental blues. So I looked up the origin of the term and it may be that it was originally “blue devils”, hallucinations that plagued people with severe alcohol withdrawal. That was later reduced to just blues.
In these time though it has an atmosphere of sterilization.
Very nice to hear, and as ever I get to learn something too.
Interesting. Never heard about that before. And yeah, even now, after seeing it so many times, the sight of a blue light at the end of station platforms still seems slightly strange, but it clearly works or else they wouldn’t persist with it.
Why it was being used in this particular situation though I don’t know.
Thank you very much. I’d been nearby before, but never walked past this particular spot, so very pleased to have found it. Quite unique, and car exhaust fumes aside, quite the place for photography too.
Luckily don’t really notice them here, and in this case it wasn’t the cars passing through that were causing most of the fumes, but the cars parked up with the aircon and their owners asleep or on their phones…
Lee I will add my applause to this one as well. These colors work so well together: the central grays and blues bounded top and bottom with bands of dark charcoal black. Very nice.
Thank you very much. It was one of those scenes that I didn’t expect to see, and even better was set up perfectly. I really like the black top and bottom too. Frames it all very nicely.
Is this a monday morning wakeup call or a ‘Twenty First Century Sheep Dip Plan’ ?.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0uvrhJ97Zw
I feel that such a tenuous link to Tokyo Times might be acceptable as there’s a little BiSH reference here and there.
The woman might feel the umbrella as wonderfully necessary due to concerns of photons on the face.
Wonderful video. Had me listening to Exposure and watching Shoestring. I wonder what code I’ll be putting that down to on my timesheet.
And doesn’t Bob have a lovely smile – don’t see that very often.

Very cool I love the added umbrella! 🙂

It’s a great little spot, and yeah, likewise, the umbrella is a wonderfully unnecessary addition!

I think that might be pushing things a bit.

my nose seems to have become more attuned to car fumes since lockdown.

In these current times, a ‘Twenty First Century Sheep Dip Plan’ might well make the most sense.
Tenuous or not, that was not what I expected when I clicked the link, and it was all the more enjoyable because of it. Wonderful!
Oddly quite a few people walked past with their brollies up, so maybe it wasn’t just the sun’s rays they were protecting themselves from…

Thank you! Very happy with how it came out. One of those lovely scenes that was set up so nicely it was simply a case of standing in the right spot.
