The great thing about summer in Tokyo is the festivals. The not so great thing about summer in Tokyo is that it’s summer.
On a similar, summer-related note, later this week I shall be leaving the intense heat and humidity of Japan and travelling for a month, meaning the usual three posts a week will be temporarily reduced to a much more manageable one. So, starting from today, there’ll only be a new photo each Monday. From August 21st, however, the usual Monday, Wednesday and Friday updates will resume as normal.

That yellow goes so well with summer sky blue and deep foliage green. It’s a real hi-viz yellow. Like US Civil Defense yellow (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD_V-700) or the Dr Yellow Shinkansen yellow (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Yellow).
Have a good time on your travels.

It really does, doesn’t it? And yeah, pretty much a perfect match.
Thank you. Looking forward to getting away for a while.

Where are you off to? Back to England or traveling Asia?
Lee says
Back to various parts of the UK. Due to events here, it’s been 4 years since I’ve been back, so a lot of catching up to do.

Very cinematic. Nice. Soon as I opened the view, I expected a dramatic narrator, Philip Glass background music, then a rapid zoom through the protagonist down the way, fade to action flashback – maybe gangsters? LOL
Stay cool. Oddly, relatives of mine in Japan are also going to the UK at the same time. Must be a thing. Get out of the buggy heat for sure. How about a guest shot from London? That’d be fun.
Lee says
Cheers! That would have been something, especailly with the addition of gangsters!
Definitely the right time to switch countries for a little while. Much, much cooler here at the moment.
Never thought about that to be honest. If I get something that fits, I might just give it a go.

Great picture! Enjoy your trip!

Thank you very much on both counts!
