Fashion in Japan certainly changes quicker than the face of Tokyo Times, but in a desperate attempt to appear up-to-date, I’ve launched a new look. Hardly a drastic change it has to be said, but it is different — sort of. Miniaturising the Hello Kitty header was a major decision though, and if it’s missed I may have to go back. Basic isn’t always best.
Anyway, hopefully everything will work as it should, but if it doesn’t please leave a comment. And in the meantime, here’s a far more fetching redesign by motor car maker Suzuki. The company’s new model currently making more than a few waves at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Apologies to those who may have seen this picture when it was briefly posted yesterday. A few major issues meant that it quickly had to be yanked, so to speak, until the problems were solved.

Wow, what a wonderful piece of engineering. The car looks good as well.
I’m missing the kitty though.

I prefer the smaller Kitty myself! Not sure about the plain Tokyo Times, though, I’m afraid!
I saw an offer for a professional custom logo for $179 which I must admit to being tempted to purchase for myself.

I was surprised by the new look, i think that it’s a good job that you renewed the design of the site.

I usually read all your stuff from the full feed so it doesn’t matter much to me the outlook of your site. But looking at the current, I think I prefer the previous where the text is the focus in the center instead of now being pushed to a small column on the left, with the adverts more prominent. Good for ‘business’ since people are more likely to see the advt but not good for reading. Quite distracting.

I like the new site layout. All top pages need renewal every so often.
Regarding the car show photo: Is there a car in there ??

Am partial to the original Hello Kitty myself . . .

I prefer the new look. I actually thought I’d come to a different site and stayed a bit before I realized this actually was Tokyo Times! I can’t see my link in the sidebar, though… 🙁
