Lee I love these images you always provide for all of us. Your part of Japan is worlds apart from my area in Kansai. It looks as much a foreign country to me as it must to others who don’t live here. I’ve asked you this many times, but so you ever think about publishing a book?:) If so please let me know!

That’s very interesting to hear. I guess like most capital cities, Tokyo is in some ways very separate from the rest of the country. Certainly when I travel in Japan, I find other parts of the country can be quite different.
In all honesty, I have thought about it. Well, more than anything thought how nice it would be to have a book. In fact just recently I was talking to a friend whose a landscape photographer here, and he was suggesting I do one too. I mentioned that I had considered a zine of some kind. That seems like a much more realistic option. But his advice was to go for a book. Something proper. Something to keep. So lots of food for thought. Have to say thanks a lot for the encouragement too. Maybe a push is what I need.

I agree with your friend too. It would definitely make a great addition to anyone’s coffee table or living room. I shall keep my fingers crossed as I’d love to have one myself:)

Fantastic photograph. That artwork really stands out. I like the way the window looks to be a hat on the head, and the wall texture looks good on the face.
As always, seeing someone homeless and destitute is sad, even in our pretty rural village there is one homeless guy who’s been here since he left school some 25 years ago.
I love the fact that you are getting the eye from the spuggy and not, for a change, from the main subject 🙂

Terrible plight, isn’t it? Whether to take the photo or not was obviously a very tricky decision, but the artwork and the resultant contrast seemed to warrant it.
And yes, that makes quite a change eh? A very different look this time.
