Cheers Andy. I have a D300, and took this with my much favoured Nikkor 85mm f/1.4. An absolutely fantastic lens.

Is that your normal setup for your photos? Sounds like a wonderful lens, and being 85mm means you can keep your distance too.

I also use a 35mm and 80-200mm, but the 85mm gets by far the most use. Intimate enough, but like you say, allows me to keep a certain distance. And above all else, it produces lovely images.
I got mine used and it was still pricey, but worth every penny. And then some to be honest.
