Beautiful. There is a very small area at the centre of your vision that has the high level of detail you “see” so holing your gaze on their faces (and hats) really enhances the way the surrounding fade in detail and colour. Easy to get lost in that without the path I imagine.
Crystal world with winter flowers
Turn my days to frozen hours
Lying snowblind in the sun
Will my ice age ever come?
Thanks a lot. Very happy with how it came out. That little gap that opened up allowed me to get the shot, and have them at the head of that long line of other hardy souls.
On the way back, the corner just behind where I took the photo was treacherous. As much as I like my adidas trainers, this was not the place for them. Providing some grip on ice, it turns out, isn’t something they are particularly good at..
Ah, excellent. I remember that well. Was introduced to them as a youngster by my neighbour who was a few years older.

I do love the color splash of their matching hats. So cute! 🙂

Yes, those matching hats are great. Made them both stand out that’s for sure.

A whiteout! Was that in snow country?
Lee says
Yeah, pretty much! It was. A fairly fast and easy journey from Tokyo, but it really does feel like another world.

This is the music that was the soundtrack to my teenage years.
Not listened to this particular gem in decades.

I wonder how effective the umbrella was!
As usual, another great picture

I know eh? Might have helped a bit, but with the wind blowing and it being very icy underfoot, it might have been more trouble that it was worth.
