A High School teacher in Ibaraki Prefecture is currently in trouble with his local Board of Education for secretly filming up the skirt of one of his students.
The degenerate yet deviceful teacher (whose name has been withheld) managed to get his desired shots by attaching a digital camera to his sandal. Then allegedly ‘filming’ when his unknowing victim was doing a spot of cleaning.
It turns out though that this wasn’t the teacher’s only attempt at amateur movie making, as he confessed to doing the same thing during a class earlier this month. Putting his misdemeanors down to the fact that he gave in to his “desires after watching secretly filmed videos on an internet site.â€
Also disclosed was that the camera-attached-to-a-sandal technique is not an ideal method for producing sharp images, as the teacher said (presumably in a desperate attempt to reduce his punishment) he had already deleted the images of the students as they weren’t clear.

Sadly, I’m not surprised. One of the English teachers at the school where my British friend worked at (and was a friend of hers too!) was arrested for having indecent pictures of students. I teased her that he may have pictures of her as well, but then mentioned that she was probably too old for him.

Wasn’t there a similar case earlier this year, involving a Tokyo University professor? He was accused of taking upskirt pictures when on an escalator at Shinagawa station. This case drew quite some attention, as he was a well-known figure who appeared regularly on TV. I do not know how this case ended: at first he admitted but later denied the allegations.

Yeah, and you probably won’t be surprised to hear that I covered the story. Here are the links:

Er. I had meant to write “Merry Christmas!,” but discovered too late your comments don’t display katakana. So much for that silly whim. Anyway, Merry Christmas.

J: That’s ok. I put the links there to save you the trouble of having to trawl through a lot of rubbish!
Karla: Thanks for the kind words and the link. The katakana did come out ok. Or at least it does on my browser.
I hope you have a good Christmas too, and an even better 2005!
