Good luck to the happy couple, but I think more Japanese women are deciding they don’t want a stereotypical subservient Japanese marriage and look to western men for a long-term future.
There are certainly more international marriages these days, but at the same time Japan is changing. Younger people are increasingly different from their parents and grandparents. Of course in Japan such changes tend to be slow, but they are happening.
