When it comes to chicken on a stick, there’s generally a direct correlation between a lack of cleanliness and taste, meaning the grubbier the place, the better the food. And while it still has a good way to go, this little street-side hole-in-the-wall is well on the way to becoming a worthwhile stop.

I like his expression. 🙂 Did you try some?
Lee says
Likewise. Happy the way that worked out.
Nah, I didn’t. We were actually heading somewhere for yakitori, so didn’t bother. Looked and smelled pretty good though.

Nicely framed as always. I really like how the guy’s clothes are even dirtier! 😉
Lee says
Cheers. Yes, a perfect match!

This photo makes me feel like those are two people who are living their best life. 🙂
Lee says
That’s a very nice way of looking at it. Gives the photo a whole other dimension.

Lee says
Yeah, very good value. Simple food, but almost always really good.

The umbrella and the looking up.
“Come in, she said
I’ll give ya shelter from the storm”
but more likely just chicken on a stick.
Lee says
As shelter goes, that’s still pretty good.
Nice Bob Dylan reference too. I like that!

A lovely photograph of live just a little removed from ours.
From the colour of it the paper fan looks like it would match that lamp in the bar you have captured previously.
Perhaps the guy is looking at the muck on the sign and thinking, in consideration of his own attire’s similar grubbiness, that waiting a few steps away from the windows is a good idea.
Lee says
Cheers.
Good call. The fan would fit right in at the other bar. And yeah, despite being less than clean to start with, standing back a little was probably a wise move!
